The Chance, Poughkeepsie, New York

This show, there are no words to describe this show. It was incredible!. The Chance is a really small intimate venue in some really small street(which we passed about 5 times because we thought it was an alley way). The place was packed i couldn't believe how crowded it was! The opening act was really good I really enjoyed them, Josh rouse(rousse?). Then after they played their was about a 1/2 hour 45 min wait before Guster came on. The set list was: Barrel of a Gun, Center of Attention, Careful,I Spy,Ramona, What You Wish For, All the Way Up to Heaven, Airport Song(i loved the light work during this song the thunder god shined!) Mona Lisa, Homecoming King,Amsterdam,
Either Way, New Song 2, Roketship but during this song they never even got passed the first corus because ryan started to make fun of Adam. Then the most amazing thing happend, something i never expected, Ryan started to read an email a fan(named mike a student at nearby Marist college) and it was saying how it was his birthday and how he wanted them to sing Happy Birthday to him. So the delivered all that and more, they called the birthday boy up(it also just so happend to be Ryan's birthday that night too) BRIAN sang happy birthday to him(which i enjoyed!) and then they let him sing lead for Demons, they closed the night with Fa Fa as usual. Then one of my friends and I went to go get water because we were choking to death by all the smoke thats when they started to play the encore. The encore was:Two Points for Honesty, Where the Streets Have no Name (U2 cover), Keep it Together, Happier. It was an unbelievable night. That was not only my first Guster concert, but my first concert, and whats better than seeing your favorite band for your first concert? Im very excited for Keep It Together, how much longer until june?

AMAZIN!guster had the place packed and alive. Ive never seen them live before and thursday night they played better than ive ever heard. I have to admit the opening act was hurtin a little bit, especially when that josh rousse guy went off on his catholic jesus music kick. But after the wait and the uhh spiritual opening act they came out and it was great. Everyone there seemed like they were really hardcore fans too so me and my friends fit in good while singing every song with the band. We were really close to the stage and the band kept on askin the audience what they wanted to hear which basically made the show very person which was definatly a good thing. One of the coolest parts was when they called up a guy for his birthday and he was up there jammin to demons. I loved all the new songs they played and im really excited for the new cd to come out. Adam was lookin georgious as usual and i was as always impressed with the drum solos (by hand). 2 Points for Honesty was also a highlight as the last song, ive been singing it for days . Afterwards got my T-shirt and my stickers, slapped one on my car bumper, drove home, Rock On Guster! Show was Great!!!!
